BECOOL project partner CREA, which is the main Italian Research Institution in the agri-food sector, released an interview addressing the value of participating in European projects for applied research in the field of sustainable biomass value chains and bioenergy.
Hosted by the weekly column “Region-Europe” of a TGR Regional News programme broadcasted by RAI (state-owned public broadcasting company), Luigi Pari highlighted the importance of engaging multiple stakeholders to develop technologies fitting commercial biomass supply chains. Chains of value from feedstock to final products whose aim is to improve the use of biomass, as well as the sustainable exploitation of marginal land and the valorisation of energy crops by farmers.
