Decarbonizing the transport sector is a global challenge and advanced biofuels are a key tool to achieve this goal. Today in Recife, the start of the BECOOL-BIOVALUE project meeting. Brazilian and European research organizations and industries are cooperating for the development of advanced biofuels from lignocellulosic biomass. A multitude of sustainable biomass resources are available. Using them efficiently is the priority for both of the projects, by developing innovative farming systems, the valorization of crop residues, smart biomass logistics, the optimization and the integration of conversion processes.
